Martinez’s leadership was also evident throughout the match, organizing his defense and showing calmness under the high ball. His distribution was accurate, often releasing Villa on the counter-attack with precise long throws. His ability to read the game and break up attacks was crucial, as he often stepped in to disrupt Juventus’ possession and initiate counter-attacks. Kamara’s passing wasn’t as sharp as usual, and he struggled at times to link up with Villa’s forward players in the attacking third. However, his primary role was to disrupt the opposition and maintain defensive discipline, and in that regard, he performed admirably.
John McGinn – 7.5/10
John McGinn’s energy and leadership were evident throughout the match, as he was involved in both defensive and attacking transitions. McGinn’s work ethic was outstanding, helping to press Juventus when they had the ball, and his runs forward were a constant outlet for Villa’s counter-attacks.
