As far as betting platforms go, very few can boast the extensive variations and legal options available to bettors in the Football arena. You can bet on every aspect of the game. From who will win the league to how many corner kicks will be there in a single game. You can take as broad or as specific an approach as you like with betting in this game.

One betting market you can’t afford to overlook, though, is the Over/Under betting market.

  1. What is Over/Under betting?
  2. How does it work?
  3. What are the best resources to leverage to play this betting market like a professional?

What’s interesting to note about Over/Under betting is that it is straightforward to play and only requires a bit of effort and attention on your side for you to see genuinely staggering results! So I’ll be telling you more about this excellent betting market now!

From helping you identify betting markets to providing you with the most efficient strategies to employ, SBOtop’s Betting Tips Video Series is your one-stop guide to all the information you would need about the Football betting world.

Over/Under betting is derived from the more significant Total Goals Scored betting market. It does a lot to remove the stress and uncertainty from Football betting and gives you more examinable data to work with when making your predictions.

Unlike many other betting markets in football, you’re not after who ultimately wins the gain here. Instead, your primary concern is that the outcome you predict beats that of your bookmaker.

Over and Under betting are essentially two sides of the same coin. So I’ll be using this analysis to highlight further all that this betting market involves.

Let’s say that Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are meeting in a game in the UEFA Championships League.

The first and perhaps most crucial factor that comes into play here is your bookmaker. Upon conducting their analysis and evaluation, they may state that Real Madrid, while end up scoring four goals will Bayern Munich will only find the net three times, bringing their estimated total goals scored in that match to 7.

Now, you enter the fray yourself and do some evaluations of your own. If your findings incline you to believe that the number of goals scored in that match won’t exceed 5, you “Under bet.” It is an Under bet because you think that the benchmark your bookie set is on the high side.

However, if you feel that both teams are in excellent form and the match’s goals will exceed 7, you then “Over bet.”

It doesn’t matter how the benchmark in Over/Under betting is met in its purest form. Both teams could contribute, or it could be an entirely one-sided affair. What matters is that you can guess the range of goals that you will score.

You can make more informed decisions by comparing the results of all previous meetings between both teams and assessing each team’s player stats. But, again, everything counts here and should be used as a basis to form what wager you place.
