Raphinha has finally opened up about one of the biggest decisions of his football career — turning down major offers from London clubs in order to fulfill his dream of playing for Barcelona.

Both clubs reportedly prepared attractive offers for Leeds United and lucrative contracts for the Brazilian international. At the time, Arsenal viewed Raphinha as a key addition to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s attacking system, while Chelsea also pushed hard to secure his services.
But for Raphinha, the opportunity to wear the famous Barcelona shirt was simply impossible to reject.
“I received offers from the Blue team and also the Red team from London, but the best decision of my career was signing for Barcelona,” Raphinha said.

“Yes, he has incredible positioning; he plays very well and scores goals. I put him in the category of truly great players,” Raphinha explained.
The Brazilian star even suggested Kane operates at a level very close to football genius status.
“He’s almost a genius, but true geniuses are very rare at that level,” he added.

Since completing his move from Leeds United, Raphinha has remained an important figure in Barcelona’s attacking setup. His versatility on both wings, work ethic, and ability to create chances have made him a valuable player for the Catalan club.
