Arsenal may have to change their plans in the transfer market after missing out on Vinicius Junior, but Michael Owen believes the Gunners already have a potential solution in Marcus Rashford. The former England striker has suggested that the Manchester United forward could be an ideal alternative for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Arsenal had reportedly identified Vinicius as their top target to strengthen the left side of their attack after the departure of Leandro Trossard. The North London club were even prepared to make the Brazilian winger the highest-paid player in Premier League history.
However, Vinicius ultimately decided to remain at Real Madrid after signing a new contract. That decision has forced Arsenal to consider other options, with Bradley Barcola also reportedly among the players being considered.
For Owen, though, Arsenal should look at a more realistic and potentially less expensive solution. He believes Rashford has the qualities required to make an immediate impact on the left wing.
Michael Owen Believes Rashford Could Fit Arsenal
