Fresh information has emerged regarding Rafael Leao’s future at AC Milan, with the Portuguese winger reportedly facing a major decision ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
According to European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Leao has attracted interest from several clubs and could potentially continue his career in the Saudi Pro League next season.
Leao’s future has been a subject of intense speculation for several months. Since the previous summer transfer window, reports have repeatedly suggested that the winger could leave San Siro in search of a new challenge.
The player has also reportedly made it clear that he is open to experiencing something different during the 2026/2027 campaign.
AC Milan appear to have prepared for the possibility of losing their Portuguese star. The Rossoneri recently brought in Diego Moreira from Strasbourg, with the winger reportedly viewed as one of the potential replacements for Leao should he eventually leave the club.

In addition to offering the player significant financial terms, the interested clubs are also believed to be willing to meet AC Milan’s asking price.
That combination could make a move to Saudi Arabia financially appealing for both the player and the Italian club.
However, there is still one major obstacle standing in the way of a potential transfer: Leao himself is not currently prioritizing a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Leao Still Prioritizes European Football
Despite the lucrative offers that could be available in Saudi Arabia, Leao is reportedly more interested in continuing his career at the highest level of European football.
The Portuguese winger believes he still has plenty of years ahead of him at the elite level and does not feel that his time in European football has come to an end.

This means that, despite strong interest and the possibility of a major financial package, a move to the Middle East is not currently his preferred option.
AC Milan Ready to Sell Leao
While Leao may still prefer to remain in Europe, AC Milan appear prepared to consider his departure.
The Rossoneri have reportedly already established a valuation for their star winger and are willing to negotiate his transfer if an interested club meets their financial expectations.
AC Milan are believed to be demanding at least €50 million for the Portugal international during the current summer transfer window.
