Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa remains confident that his side can still lift the La Liga trophy this season. Despite trailing rivals Barcelona in the standings, he insists Los Blancos will fight until the very end to close the gap and keep their title hopes alive.
Arbeloa shared his thoughts following Real Madrid’s hard-fought 2-1 victory over Deportivo Alavés earlier today. The win secured three crucial points for Madrid, bringing their total to 73 points—just six behind league leaders Barcelona. With six matches still left in the 2025/2026 La Liga campaign, the title race remains wide open.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Arbeloa emphasized his team’s determination:
“We will keep pushing for the title until it is mathematically impossible. As long as there is a chance, we will fight for La Liga.”
Relentless Fight Until the End
The former Real Madrid defender believes that anything can happen in football, especially in a tightly contested title race. He stressed that his squad will continue giving everything on the pitch, regardless of the challenges ahead.
“If the day comes when we no longer have a chance and Barcelona are confirmed as champions, we will congratulate them,” Arbeloa said.
“But until that moment arrives, we will not stop fighting. We will give everything in every remaining game this season.”
Strong Belief Within the Squad
Arbeloa also highlighted the importance of self-belief within the team. While acknowledging that many factors could influence the outcome of the title race, he is convinced that Real Madrid have what it takes to overtake Barcelona.
“There is no doubt in our minds that we can catch them. That belief is part of our identity,” he added.
“We will keep pushing, keep believing, and aim to finish the season in the best possible way.”
Next Challenge: Real Betis Away
Real Madrid will return to action this weekend in Matchday 33 of La Liga 2025/2026. Los Blancos are set to face Real Betis away from home—a crucial fixture as they continue their pursuit of Barcelona at the top.
With the title race heating up, every match becomes decisive. Real Madrid know that only consistent victories will keep their championship dream alive.
