While many teams performed more or less according to expectations in the just concluded English Premier League season, one club that genuinely outdid itself and stunning fans and foes alike were Leeds United. Against what seemed like overwhelming odds, they put in 120% and finished in the top half of the table by the time the league ended. Thanks to the valiant and consolidated efforts of Coach Marcelo Bielsa and his squad, they topped some favorites to earn that spot. As the new season prepares to kick off, it remains to be seen if they continue to fire on all cylinders. Fans of this tournament know that the English Premier League only gets more challenging, not easier. As such, you have to up your performance, or you risk getting left behind. Judging by their exemplary performance in the 20/2021 season, though, Leeds United has shown they can keep up with the very best.

The transfer market is open and choked with activity, so at the moment, the squad list for the new season hasn’t been entirely determined. Before moving to the names of possible signings, some players likely won’t be starting the new season with the team. Ezgjan Alioski has officially departed the squad as he wasn’t able to reach an agreement with the club on his contract renewal. The same may hold for the familiar faces, Gaetano Berardi and Pablo Hernandez. Both players have been an integral part of the team, putting in over one hundred and fifty appearances during their career in Leeds United. On the flip side, the team’s midfield will still have Stuart Dallas powerfully in play as he recently completed the signing of a new three-year contract. Tyler Roberts is another face we’ll be seeing for a long time into the future as he also renewed his contract for a three-year deal.
