Manchester United are heading into the 2026/2027 season with renewed optimism, and club legend Lee Sharpe believes Michael Carrick’s side could become serious contenders for the Premier League title.

“I think they can really compete for the title. I’m not sure they’ll win the league, but they’ll definitely challenge and have an influence on who becomes champions,” he said.
