Before the polarizing effects of morale and trepidation set in, identifying what teams can clear the group stage hurdle and which will fall behind can prove very profitable for bettors who want to get things right. The 24 countries that will participate in this tournament have various odds of winning, as assigned by bookmakers. So before you bet on Euro 2020 qualifiers and winners, knowing where each team stands, even before the tournament begins in earnest, can help you make the most objective and transparent-headed decisions with your wagers.
Euro 2020 Group E Members
Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of each team is one step to knowing which bets to place for each team in Euro 2020 Group E selections. You can find our analysis of the five different groups here. For Euro 2020 Group E, the teams here include Poland, Spain, Slovakia, and Sweden. Here are some that you can expect from each of these teams based on their past performance, current form, and other relevant variables.
Spain To Top The Euro 2020 Group E
Granted, saying this might sound somehow, especially when you consider the less than satisfying start to the World Cup Qualifying games that the Spaniards had. Even though they had little reason to do so, they somehow managed to lose points against the Greece team. On the other hand, they won over Georgia by a hair’s breadth. Still, we don’t see them losing out to the other contenders in Euro 2020 Group E. To start with, regardless of how they accomplished it, they did manage to top their Nations League group. But, more than this, let’s not forget that their squad is still one of the strongest in the world. On top of all that, every Euro 2020 group stage match will be played on home ground for them, putting them at an overwhelming advantage over the other teams in Euro 2020 Group E. So while nothing is promised, especially in football, it’s hard to see Spain dropping the ball here.
Slovakia On A Thin Ledge In Euro 2020 Group E
Again, no one knows what will occur, but right now, things aren’t looking perfect for Slovakia. Although, to be fair, this isn’t what anyone would call a recent occurrence as people who followed the campaign of this team all through the World Cup qualifying know that they have been struggling from the very beginning. Due to this, it is hard to see them doing better than they did in the Nations League B group. As they came in last there and haven’t significantly improved since that time, the chances are high that they will be at the bottom of the group here again.
Poland And Sweden To Compete For Second And Third Spot In Euro 2020 Group E
On the surface, Poland looks like they’re the better team to bet on when compared to Sweden. Some reasons include the fact that the former managed to clinch four points more than the latter during the Nations League. Add to that that Sweden won’t have Ibrahimovic, and the Polish side has one of the best strikers, Robert Lewandoski, in their lineup. However, Poland has a knack for underperforming when one least expects it, something they proved in the 2018 World Cup. On the other hand, Sweden has shown that they have the fortitude and resources to do more than people credit them for as they broke into the quarter-final level of the World Cup, a feat they hadn’t been able to achieve in over 20 years. So, it is unclear who will come out on top between the two sides.
